My Journey with 108
I first heard about the magic of 108 back in 2008, during my very first coaching process. Something about it sparked something in my soul. I couldn’t explain why at the time; I just knew it carried a weight that mattered.
Years later, in 2016, right in the thick of my master’s program in mental health counseling, that whisper turned into an absolute demand. I sat down and let my hands move across the keyboard until I had written exactly 108 distinct concepts for a book. I didn’t know what the book was yet. I didn’t know where it was going. I just knew the number was calling me forward.
By the end of 2023, the frequency changed. It grew louder, heavier, and impossible to ignore. And in 2024, while navigating a marriage that was costing me the very essence of who I was, I finally surrendered to the page.
I know intimately what it feels like to live your life on autopilot. I know the heavy, exhausting rhythm of going through the motions while feeling entirely numb inside. I know what it’s like to look into the mirror and feel a sudden, jarring disconnection from the woman looking back at you.
I lived in that survival mode for years. I gained weight and let myself go. I watched my business stall. I completely stepped away from finishing my PhD. On paper, I was functioning. I was breathing. But I wasn’t alive; I was surviving.
Writing that first draft in 2024 wasn’t a strategic career move. It was a lifeline I threw to myself while standing in the dark. One small, deliberate movement at a time, I started finding my way back to the surface.
But the universe wasn’t done with me.
At the end of 2025, that familiar calling returned with an undeniable, fierce clarity: complete the trilogy.
What began as a single rescue mission for my own soul expanded into a deep devotion to help other women step out of their own shadows and stop surviving. Over the last two and a half years, I have intimately documented every step of my own journey. The unraveling, the rebuilding, and the reclamation. In the fire of that continuous, raw process of creation, I wrote the final two books and finally understood what 108 had been trying to tell me all along.
There is a reason certain numbers echo through history, across ancient cultures, and through centuries of human consciousness. They aren’t mathematical coincidences. They are geometric keys.
108 is one of those numbers.
In Vedic traditions, 108 is the sacred count of beads on a mala; each one representing a breath, a prayer, a conscious step back to your center. In yoga, 108 Sun Salutations mark the turning of a season, honoring the necessary death of one cycle to clear space for the next. In Buddhism, we encounter the 108 earthly temptations we must gracefully navigate on our path to ultimate clarity. Even the cosmos reflects this symmetry: the distance between the Earth and the Sun is approximately 108 times the diameter of the Sun itself.
And then, there is the raw numerology.
1 represents the Divine, Higher Truth, and the courage of the absolute beginning.
0 represents the sacred void, emptiness, humility, and the absolute willingness to surrender to what is.
8 represents infinity, the loop of continuous evolution that never ends.
When you sit with that, you realize 108 is a map. It represents your direct connection to something greater, your willingness to begin again from nothing, and your capacity to expand without a ceiling. It isn’t just a number. It is a powerful, intentional activation code.
My personal experience, as well as my clinical work as a counselor have taught me that transformation does not require a massive, cinematic revelation. It doesn’t wait until your life is perfectly organized or your heart is completely healed.
It begins with consistent movement. The smallest, most imperfect, most ordinary movement you can manage right now, today.
You don’t need to feel ready. You don’t need to feel wildly inspired. You just have to choose one single thing. And do it. That is the whole practice.
The first book of the 108 Trilogy contains 108 distinct invitations to stop sleepwalking and start choosing your life. Some of these daily invitations are expansive and bold. Some are quiet and deeply internal. Some will ask you to reach, while others will simply ask you to soften and breathe. Every single one of them shares a singular, unwavering intention: to help you find your way back home to yourself.
Over these past two and a half years of writing, living, and documenting this evolution, I designed this path specifically for the woman who is tired of just surviving, who has become numb to her life. What begins here as a radical activation will deepen, in the books that follow, into a sacred awakening and, ultimately, a true arrival.
But you cannot arrive at the destination without taking the first step.
Your first shift begins with my first invitation.
With heart, Soléa
